VOICES OF SPRING CONCERT SUNDAY 16 MAY 2010 4PM CHRIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH ROANOKE FREE CONCERT

Cantate is an organization dedicated to bringing classical choral music to the children and youth of Central Virginia. Each chorister will be trained in proper vocal production, note and score reading and musical interpretation of the great choral classics . . . in short, tapping the potential of this region’s wealth of musical talent. The group will seek to build an organization of choral excellence and goodwill between the singers in the tradition of the great boy choirs of Europe and the wonderful children’s choirs of North America. Cantate is a secular organization. We are not affiliated with any church body or government agency. Cantate is a non-profit organization as stipulated by the IRS as 501 (C)(3). Cantate performs classical choral music from all areas of composition, including sacred works of the Christian and Jewish faiths. The performance of these pieces does not indicate or should imply any endorsement of the religious philosophy contained within. We accept boys and girls from 3rd through 12th grade.Tuition is $250.00 per concert year - ($125.00 per semester).
